SAN ANTONIO — Seguin police arrested an alleged high-ranking member of the Texas-Mexican Mafia Sunday morning on a laundry list of charges.
Jessie Salazar III was arrested March 23 by officers responding to a call for shots fired in the 700 block of Roberts Street in Seguin.
Salazar was apprehended as he tried to leave the scene in his vehicle, according to a release from the city.
Salazar’s wife, Kathy Salazar, was arrested later by detectives serving a search warrant at a house on Allende Street in which officers seized multiple computers, electronic storage devices, $10,000 in cash and 29 grams of methamphetamine.
Kathy Salazar has been charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance. Her bond has been set at $25,000. Jessie Salazar has been charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, resisting arrest, deadly conduct and retaliation. His bond has been set at nearly $500,000.
Additional charges are possible, according to authorities.
